The Ukrainian Defense Intelligence announced the destruction of a Russian vessel in the Kherson region, during an operation carried out in the Black Sea, near the occupied port of Zaliznyi.
The attack, which occurred on August 20, 2025, used precision weaponry and was captured on video.
According to Ukrainian authorities, the launched missile hit the enemy boat directly, resulting in the death of the five crew members aboard. The attack was made possible thanks to laser designation from a drone, which also recorded the explosion.
The released images show the moment the missile approaches the vessel and the powerful detonation that followed. Military sources suggest that, based on the type of interface displayed, the attack was most likely conducted by a Bayraktar TB2 drone.
